The Original 40 Brewing Company is showing a double feature of Halloween movies on Thursday, October 30. First, it’s Hocus Pocus at 7:00 p.m. Then it’s Scream at 9:00 p.m. The event will include a costume contest (judging at 8:45 p.m.) and raffle prizes throughout the night.

Celebrate Halloween NOLA style with a party at North Park’s Louisiana Purchase on Friday, October 31. The party starts at 10:00 p.m. after the dinner crowd ends, and it includes drink specials, a DJ, and prizes for the best costumes. First place gets $100 cash and a dinner for two.

Taco Centro will celebrate the grand opening of its second San Diego location in Little Italy on Saturday, November 1, and the modern Mexican street food concept is offering a “buy two tacos, get one free” deal from 12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m. The menu features 13 tacos, including birria, carnitas, pollo asado, and seafood selections like grilled mahi mahi and camaron enchilada. Two vegetarian options are also available – mushroom and nopal (cactus). Taco Centro’s signature Taco Azul is a blue corn tortilla filled with grilled angus steak, fresh cheese, whole black beans, avocado, cilantro, onions, and house salsa.
