City Tacos’ OB Playground in Ocean Beach is hosting Halloween costume parades around the perimeter of the 10,000-square-foot taqueria for both kids and pets on Saturday, October 25. The kids parade begins at 11:00 a.m., and all kids in costume will receive a free churro. The pet parade begins at 12:30 p.m., and all pets in costume will receive a complimentary pup cup.

Gaslamp’s The Smoking Gun is hosting an action-packed day of sports on Saturday, October 25. Come by early to watch Aspinall vs Gane UFC 312 at 11:00 a.m., and stay to watch Alabama play South Carolina at 12:30 p.m.. During the Alabama game, chow down on food specials like Bama Blaze Wings, pickle-brined chicken wings tossed in sweet and spicy maple sriracha sauce, or the Saban Stack - corn tortilla chips topped with poblano beer cheese, sour cream, and salsa fresca, with the option to add a protein. Drink specials include cocktails like the Yellow Hammer made with vodka, rum, Italian Liqueur, pineapple, and orange, or the Alabama Slammer with Southern Comfort, Sloe Gin, Italian Liqueur, and orange.

Fonda del Barrio will celebrate Dia de los Muertos on Sunday, October 26 as part of Barrio Logan’s annual festival, opening early at 12:00 noon with complimentary face painting and calaveritas for kids. Molletes will be sold streetside – toasty bolillo bread topped with refried beans, melted asadero cheese, avocado slivers, pork chorizo or carne asada, and crowned with sauteed onions and chile de arbol – and a special Dia de los Muertos- and Halloween-themed cocktail, La Diablita, will be available for purchase for adults 21+.
