National Taco Day officially moved to the first Tuesday in October last year, according to National Day Calendar, and this year it falls on Tuesday, October 7. The holiday had previously been celebrated on October 4 every year, regardless of the day of the week. San Diego is a mecca for tacos, of course. Here are just some of the local spots to enjoy deals on the savory treat:

City Tacos is celebrating National Taco Day with a combo for two for $30 that includes any four tacos and two Mexican bottled beers. For $2 more, guests can order two draft beers and get an order of churros. All paying guests on National Taco Day, regardless of their order, can spin the promotional wheel to earn prizes for their next visit to the taqueria. City Tacos offers more than 20 tacos on its menu, including options for vegetarians and vegans. There are six San Diego County locations in Encinitas, La Mesa, North Park, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, and Sorrento Mesa. Multiple locations

Hasta MaƱana Cantina, a celebration of Baja coastal cuisine in downtown San Diego, is preparing to celebrate National Taco Day with a specialty $10 Margarita + Street Taco. Available from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., this includes a house margarita and one street taco with the option of skirt steak carne asada, carnitas, pollo asada, al pastor pork, or mushroom al pastor. 310 Fifth Avenue

Sandbar's TKO Taco might be the city's most award-winning taco, so why not celebrate National Taco Day at this Mission Beach hot spot. The TKO taco has been the winner of Pacific Beachfest’s “Best Taco at the Beach” for ten years, San Diego Bay Food & Wine Festival’s “Best Fish Taco in San Diego” for four years, San Diego Reader’s Tacotopia’s “Best Taco in San Diego” for three years, and lastly USA today’s runner up for “Best Fish Tacos in California” in 2018, so it’s pretty clear to see that Sandbar is a total standout. You can also enjoy deals on other tacos, margaritas, and tequila from 6:00pm - close. 718 Ventura Place

It's always a party at Mavericks Beach Club, in Pacific Beach, and this tasty national food holiday is no exception. From noon - 9:00pm on October 7th, all tacos are just $3.50! But the celebration doesn't end there - wash down those tasty tacos with half off all drinks from 2:00pm - 7:00pm, or $3 tequila and Mexican beers, and $3.50 margaritas from 7:00pm - close. 860 Garnet Ave
